The one thing to know
For a lot of people, protection can be a hindsight product. If you’re able to put the right protection in place now, it’s worth considering it while you can.
The biggest myth
In 2025 we supported 100 claims, and £1,133,478 was paid out to our clients. Our Claims Report shows who claimed, what for, and how we helped from the first call to the final payout.
Where to start
Protection is important, but so is getting it right. It needs to be tailored to each person’s individual needs and circumstances.

I once had a client who wanted to cancel his policy because of his personal circumstances. I spoke to him about the cancellation and took the time to understand what was going on in his life. Because of the relationship we had built during our initial conversations, I was able to understand and encourage him to keep the policy running for the time being.
Sadly, the client passed away shortly afterwards, but the policy paid out to his daughter. It was a difficult situation, but it reinforced for me why understanding a client’s circumstances and giving the right support can make such a difference.

Aimee helped me sort out cover I’ve been putting off for years. Professional and kind.
Aimee gave me honest advice from the very start. She didn’t sugar-coat anything, which I really appreciated. In the end, I made a decision I feel good about - thanks to her.
Every step was smooth. Aimee took her time to understand my situation and gave advice without any pressure. It honestly felt like chatting with someone who had my back.
I’ve been at Waddle for just over four years. Before that, I was a casino manager.
I was looking for a career change and wanted something with a better work-life balance, as well as a completely different environment and industry. Waddle offered a clear career path and the opportunity to develop. The culture was a big attraction too, especially the dogs!
When I visited and saw the environment for myself, it felt homely and welcoming, and somewhere I could genuinely build a career. Most importantly, I felt that at Waddle I would be respected as a person and not just treated as a number.
The care Waddle shows comes across in the way we look after both our staff and our clients. I see my clients as an extended family. I speak to them regularly, get to understand their circumstances and vulnerabilities, and genuinely get to know them.

Sonic
I couldn’t find a female Newcastle United footballer. I grew up playing Sonic, and at the time we were buying a lot of Sonic stuff for our nephew!
Aimee, in her own three words.
She’s always wanted to try pottery making, and she’d like to get into more crafty things.
Something you’d never guess about her.

Her biggest guilty pleasure, and her ultimate comfort food.
Her go-to order.
Her go-to karaoke song, by Journey.
She’s passionate about her family and supporting Newcastle. Outside work, you’ll find her watching football or out on walks with her wife, and her perfect day off is a chilled one together.
There are two sides to being a great protection adviser. One is having the knowledge to provide good advice and education to the client. The other is the personal touch, being able to build a genuine connection with someone and earn their trust, so they feel confident that you’re helping them protect themselves and their family.
Being able to create a genuine connection with the client, building trust and taking the time to understand their personal circumstances.
I enjoy being the person who gives clients the support and assistance they need, so they have peace of mind knowing that everything is in place and appropriate for their circumstances.
It’s knowing that someone has made a successful claim. Of course, a claim often comes at a very difficult time, and knowing that a client or their family has received life-changing news is never easy.
But knowing that the work I’ve done has helped support them when they need it most is incredibly rewarding.
Our ongoing support. It isn’t just about the initial advice. We have our sales support team, administration team, claims support and post-claims reviews, as well as regular client check-ins.
We stay in contact to make sure that, if something happens, we’re there to help, while also checking that their protection continues to reflect their changing circumstances.
