In their eighth year, FT Adviser aims to showcase the best initiatives, campaigns and success stories over the past 12 months when it comes to diversity and inclusion in the financial sector. Held at the Hyatt Regency London, the event featured Pinky Lilani CBE, author, mentor, motivational speaker and advocate, as guest speaker.

Held at the London Marriott Hotel Grosvenor Square, we were exceptionally proud to see four women from Waddle shortlisted as finalists from more than 1,000 entries, recognising their expertise, commitment and contribution to the industry.

Protection Adviser and Team Lead Charlotte was nominated for the exceptional standards she brings to supporting both clients and the next generation of talent.

Head of Claims Naomi was nominated for her claimant-first philosophy, ensuring every claimant and their family receive exceptional levels of empathy, guidance and advocacy.

  

The Protection Review Awards, held at The Landmark Hotel in Central London and hosted by Kevin Carr, recognises outstanding achievement, innovation and dedication across the protection industry. We were invited to attend with Scottish Widows and were delighted to take home the coveted award of the evening.

The Cover Excellence Awards at the De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms in Central London celebrates the outstanding achievements and contributions of insurers, intermediaries and individuals in the UK protection industry. We were invited to attend with Guardian 1821, with entertainment provided by comedian Hal Cruttenden.

The 14th annual L&G Business Quality Awards, held at One Moorgate Place in London. The event celebrated businesses and advisers delivering exceptional customer service, with guests also enjoying entertainment from actor and comedian Jon Culshaw.

• Hero in the Middle

  New for 2025, the Hero in the Middle category recognises individuals who often go above and beyond to support those facing extremely challenging circumstances. Protection Advisor, Ryan’s dedicated work with a family to untangle a lifetime of disjointed protection policies ultimately proved invaluable when they needed to claim, with every policy Ryan had put in place paying out. This earned us a finalist position.
