For the past few years, we’ve been proud to support Kids Cancer Charity through small gestures with a big heart, including our annual Easter egg donations for children and families facing incredibly difficult times.
This year, we wanted to do more.
15 members of the Waddle team are lacing up their trainers to take on the Cardiff Half Marathon on Sunday 4 October 2026.
Not just as individuals, but as one team - pushing ourselves together for a cause that means a great deal to us.
With just a few weeks left to train, the finish line is starting to feel very real. Since setting ourselves the challenge back in July, Team Waddle has been out on the roads, rain or shine, logging the miles, pushing through tired legs and supporting each other along the way.
We’re doing it for Kids Cancer Charity, and for the children and families they support every single day.
Childhood cancer can turn a family’s life upside down in an instant.
Hospital visits replace school runs. Treatment becomes part of everyday life. And for parents, brothers, sisters and loved ones, the worry doesn’t simply disappear.
Kids Cancer Charity steps in when families need support most.
From helping with travel costs and supermarket vouchers to providing special days out and experiences, the charity helps families focus on what matters most: spending time together.
They create opportunities for precious memories, bring moments of happiness during incredibly difficult periods, and help children feel like children - not just patients.
Every mile we run, every hill we climb and every early morning training session has a purpose behind it.
What we’re doing will be tough.
What these children and families are facing is far tougher.
So we’re running to stand alongside them. To raise money, raise awareness and hopefully bring a little more light into some incredibly difficult days.
For the Waddle team, this isn’t just about completing a half marathon.
It’s about showing what can happen when people come together behind something bigger than themselves.
Some of our runners have never completed a half marathon before. Some are nervous. Some are excited. Some may currently be questioning why they ever agreed to it.
But every one of them is committed - to the challenge, to each other and, most importantly, to the families we’re supporting.
Over the coming weeks, we’ll keep putting in the miles and encouraging each other towards that start line.
And on 4 October, we’ll cross it together.
We talk a lot at Waddle about teamwork, community and looking after people.
Those values shouldn’t stop when we leave the office.
