On 26th September, the Waddle team came together to host a special Cancer Research Coffee Morning, fuelled by delicious coffees and pastries kindly supplied and hand-delivered by our loyal local business, Crafty Smuggler Coffee. A huge thank you to Bam and the team for their incredible support and generosity - you helped make our coffee morning a real success!
At Waddle, giving back to our community and supporting charities that truly make a difference is a core part of who we are. This event was dedicated to raising funds for Cancer Research UK, a charity that holds deep meaning for many of us.
Cancer Research UK is the world’s leading independent cancer charity, dedicated to saving lives through research, influence and information. Thanks to their groundbreaking work, cancer survival rates have doubled in the last 40 years - but there’s still more to be done. Every donation helps fund scientists, doctors and nurses. These amazing people are working tirelessly to find new treatments, improve early diagnosis and ultimately beat cancer for good.
Two inspiring members of our team who are going the extra mile - quite literally - in support of this life-changing cause:
🏃♀️ Jasmine Stevens will be taking on the Brighton Marathon in 2026, running in memory of her dad. Her determination is admirable and everyone at Waddle will be cheering her on every step of the way.
🚶♀️ Nicola Smith is lacing up her trainers for a 10k charity walk, walking in honour of a close friend who has shown incredible courage in their own cancer journey. Her commitment reminds us how personal and powerful this cause can be.
Events like these bring our team together and remind us that small actions can add up to something truly meaningful.
We’re thrilled to share that, thanks to the generosity of our incredible team, friends, and supporters, we raised over £1,300 in total! 🎉
The funds will be shared between Jasmine’s and Nicola’s fundraising efforts, who are taking on personal challenges in support of Cancer Research UK.
It was a wonderful morning filled with coffee, cake and community spirit - and most importantly, a chance to contribute to a cause that touches so many lives. Every cake, every donation and every kind word helped bring us all together in support of two of our staff members and this amazing charity.
